Entering Text

The most important thing to remember when adding text to you pages, is to never copy and paste from a word document, pdf, email or excel document.

By copying and pasting from any of the document types mentioned above, you carry across the formatting inherent in these document types. Although you may not be able to see it at the time, this previous formatting will distort the text on your live site, and you will struggle to format the text using the tools in your Webmaster Content Editor.
Using Notepad to Copy Text
You can still copy and paste text from a document, as long as you copy and paste it into a simple Notepad document first. While this may seem tedious, it is standard procedure for all web based applications, and it will save you hours in formatting in the long run. (Notepad can be found under your computer Accessories).
